This year, Meta Pool DAO celebrates its fourth anniversary, a milestone marking its deep integration and collaboration with the NEAR Protocol

Since its inception, NEAR’s architecture has provided an ideal environment for our DAO’s growth, allowing us to evolve as a multi-chain liquid staking protocol.

Meta Pool has actively participated in NEAR Protocol’s decentralization efforts, as highlighted in its Governance Forum. There, Meta Pool is recognized as one of the most prominent multi-chain liquid staking protocols in the NEAR ecosystem, noting its consistent growth and the value it brings to the community through programs such as Grants, the Ambassador Program, and the vote-to-earn system.

Furthermore, Meta Pool DAO has fostered community participation to ensure the protocol implements its decentralization strategy. NEAR Protocol’s new governance model, called House of Stake (HoS), aims to establish a comprehensive governance framework that prioritizes transparency, accountability, efficiency, and, above all, alignment with the protocol. This will empower the NEAR community with a governance structure that enables equitable and sustainable growth.

House of Stake represents an evolution in NEAR’s governance, moving from an identity-based model (“one person, one vote”) to a system of commitment-weighted voting. It is built on three key pillars: (a) veNEAR voting, (b) endorsed delegates, and AI governance.

Meta Pool has closely followed the development of this new governance proposal, launched on October 13th, actively participating in the Governance Forum with proposals that enriched key aspects of HoS.

The HoS model’s voting system will not only involve users (with veNEAR to vote) but also allow users to delegate their vote to community members chosen as delegates in governance. Meta Pool proposes Alan, a DAO member in charge of the Ambassador Program and the node program, as a delegate for this new governance model.

Alan Estrada, in addition to his experience, has demonstrated his commitment to the NEAR Protocol since its early days. For users looking to delegate their vote in the House of Stake of the NEAR Protocol, here are some of the characteristics that delegates should possess, and what Alan commits to upholding:

  • Transparency and Communication: Commitment to publicly justifying the rationale behind each vote through community channels (forums, blogs, social media), ensuring that delegators understand how their interests are represented. Any potential conflicts of interest will also be disclosed.

  • Activity and Experience: Deep technical and strategic knowledge of the NEAR Protocol, enabling effective evaluation of complex proposals. This commitment is reflected in consistent and active participation in community votes and discussions, maintaining a high engagement rate.

  • Long-term Commitment: Firmly aligned with NEAR’s vision for sustainable growth. His track record and participation reflect a long-term commitment to the protocol, building a reputation of reliability and genuine dedication to the ecosystem’s future.

In summary, users seeking a delegate for the House of Stake will find in Alan Estrada a profile with a proven track record of transparency, high activity, comprehensive ecosystem knowledge, and sincere commitment to the NEAR Protocol.
